Hey there! Welcome!

I'm a simple person with a lot of love and passion for people and beauty. Those people up there, they are mine. My world revolves around them and I'm their person. I couldn't do life without them. Life is fun and some times exhausting, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

I love capturing life and laughter. The real stuff. Not the 'let's all lean against this wall and look perfect so everyone thinks we're perfect". I like the real, the candid, the unprovoked. I want my sessions to be fun and effortless, capturing the “realness” of my clients ensures that I am able to provide portraits that showcase the essence of who you are. Each session is tailored with your personalities in mind, to create images that are sure to capture the realness of who you are. I want you to look back at these pictures 5, 10, 15 years from now, and think, that was exactly how we were.

Being able to do what I love is beyond what I would have ever imagined.

FAQ:

What is your style?

I love the photojournalistic style....candid, real, glowing, fun.

What is your favorite type of session?

I wouldn't say it's a type of session, but what is within the session that's my favorite. I love capturing the moments before and after a pose. I love capturing love and laughter. People in their element. I love to document, not just pose.

How did you get into photography?

This whole love for photography started many years ago, and actually fell into my lap. My parents both have a knack for photography, so I was exposed to it my entire life. In 2013, I launched Tana Mathews Photography.

You're a full-service photographer, what does that mean?

In a nut shell: each session is a personalized and customized experience. I'm with you every step of the way. From the consultation, to helping you select a wardrobe, to selecting a location that suits your personality and taste, to selecting photos for your home. I want you to have quality artwork that you are proud to hang in your home.

What's in your bag?

A Nikon D850 + Sigma 35art

I look forward to capturing your real, your story!
-Tana
